The King Hamad Clinical Simulation and Proficiency Centre was established in 2016 with the aim of providing state of the art Health Professional training where advanced medical simulators and other educational tools are used to create fidelity immersive learning environment for clinicians and other Health Professionals.
Medical simulation models reflect situations on the ground by creating a medical scenario and allow the trainee doctor to conduct operations in a similar environment in a safe, interactive and learning environment to achieve the desired purpose of maximizing the level of competence of doctors and medical staff. , allowing for mistakes to be made and learned from. The objective of this facility is to challenge Healthcare Professionals and maximize their potential while simultaneously improving patient safety and quality of care.
It is worth mentioning that this center is the only one of its kind in the Kingdom of Bahrain and is one of the best centers in the Gulf in terms of the quality of the existing devices , that is using the technology (Virtual Haptic teaching), which will allow the doctors trainees the opportunity to acquire advanced scientific skills in their competence with the highest efficiency and less cost, There will be a qualitative leap in the quality of education and training of physicians in various specialties such as general surgery, laparoscopy, urology, gynecology, gastrointestinal surgery, chest surgery, respiratory surgery and ENT.
The Clinical Simulation and Proficiency Centre is led by a team of Clinical experts and Consultants from a variety of medical discipline, which is supported by a panel of Medical educators. This ensured the blending of evidence based skills teaching with contemporary education instructions.
